Hello and welcome to my brand-new Blog. My Name is Mariko and I am the creator of KokoHooi. I am a Swiss, living in Montreal with my family for a year.
This Blog is kind of a diary covering our adventures abroad and while traveling the world.
I am married to Niels. Originally born and raised in the Netherlands, he moved to Switzerland in 2006 where we met, fell in love and lived until last year. We got married in 2013 and are the proud parents of two beautiful daughters, little Miss Liya (2015) and little Miss Kenzie (2016).
In March 2018 we move to Montreal for one year. I actually started this Blog to tell our story of living abroad, to connect with friends and family by sharing our adventures away from home.
Now, almost one year later, I finally set it up and dared to publish my first post (the one you are reading right now). The struggle is real and I do suffer of the famous fear of publishing, but what’s a new year for, ey? So I plan to share as much as possible of what had happened during the past year in Montreal and will try to keep you updated of what is yet to come:
In March we will embark on a special trip around the world for some months. So stay tuned and keep your fingers crossed that I will cover this part of our adventure a bit more regularly than the moving to and living in Canada bit.
